Welcome to JPS Montessori!

The Montessori offers Kindergarten – 5th grade classes that are newly renovated with safe and secure entryways and upgraded with 21st century learning furniture and technology tools. The Montessori allows students to learn at their own individual pace and according to their own choice of activities. Learning is an exciting process of discovery. At the JPS Montessori, children are grouped in mixed ages and abilities. Multi-age flexible grouping allows each child to find his/her own pace. This allows for constant  interaction,  problem solving,  child to child teaching and socialization. The children are challenged according to their ability and are never bored.

JPS Montessori Weekly Announcements

Week of November 2, 2025

Good evening, Montessori Families —

This is Mr. Jayne with your weekly update for the week of November 3rd.

📌 Important Dates & Reminders:

Our Penny War fundraiser was a huge success — thank you to everyone who participated!

Our World’s Finest Chocolate fundraiser is happening now through November 14th. All money is due that day — and believe it or not, one of our students even found the coveted Golden Ticket!

Our Family Game Night, originally scheduled for this week, has been postponed — more details will be shared soon.

🤒 Health Reminder:

With an uptick in germs and illnesses, please take a moment to review the student handbook to know when it’s appropriate to keep your child home if they’re sick.

If a student goes home sick, they must stay home the following day — that absence will be excused.

Please remember to send in doctor’s notes or documentation so absences can be properly recorded.

Thank you for helping us keep our school a healthy place to learn!

🏦 Attention Savers!

We’re excited to share that Tru Community Credit Union is back at Montessori this year — a wonderful opportunity for students to open their own accounts and learn about saving responsibly.

🚗 Arrival & Dismissal Reminder:

Please continue to stay in your cars during drop-off and pick-up.

If you need to get out, please use the parking lot — this helps keep dismissal safe and running smoothly.

🎉 JPS 2025 Bond Information:

The upcoming Jackson Public Schools 2025 Bond focuses on improving infrastructure, expanding career readiness opportunities, and supporting hands-on learning — all with no tax increase in millage.

Learn more at JPSK12.org/JPS-2025-Bond, and don’t forget to vote on November 4th!

That’s all for this week.

Thank you, families, for your continued support.

Enjoy the rest of your evening — and as always, Go Vikings!

Warmly,

Mr. Jayne
