Montessori Entrance

Welcome to JPS Montessori!

The Montessori offers Kindergarten – 5th grade classes that are newly renovated with safe and secure entryways and upgraded with 21st century learning furniture and technology tools. The Montessori allows students to learn at their own individual pace and according to their own choice of activities. Learning is an exciting process of discovery. At the JPS Montessori, children are grouped in mixed ages and abilities. Multi-age flexible grouping allows each child to find his/her own pace. This allows for constant  interaction,  problem solving,  child to child teaching and socialization. The children are challenged according to their ability and are never bored.

JPS Montessori Weekly Announcements

Week of May 18, 2025

Good Evening Montessori Families,

This is Mr. Jayne with your weekly update.

Thank you for taking the time to complete the Year End Survey for Parents/Guardians. This provides crucial data to help us make informed decisions for next school year.

Our annual family picnic is scheduled for Thursday, May 22nd. Families are invited to have a BBQ lunch with their students. K-2 recess begins at 11:30 and lunch is from 11:50-12:10. Grades 3-5 recess is at 12:05 and lunch is at 12:25-12:45. The cost of an adult lunch is $5.

A reminder that there is no school on Monday, May 26th in observance of Memorial Day.

Attention 4th and 5th grade parents we are heading to Mackinac on Wednesday, May 28th. It is super important that you are at school at 5:30am at the latest, as the bus leaves at 5:45am. It is a FULL day without much wiggle room. We are not responsible for any lost or stolen items, so please have a conversation with your young person.

We are taking over Binder Park Zoo on Friday, May 30th. This is a change from the original date. Also please let your classroom teacher know if you plan on chaperoning and riding the bus. The price is $10/student and $13/adult.

Field day at Jackson High will take place on Monday, June 2nd from 9am to 11am. Please wear comfortable shoes and prepare to get wet. Parents and Guardians are welcome to attend in the spectator area.

That’s all for this week. Parents and guardians, thank you for everything that you do. Enjoy the rest of your evening! And, as always, Go, Vikings!!
