Welcome to JPS Montessori!
The Montessori offers Kindergarten – 5th grade classes that are newly renovated with safe and secure entryways and upgraded with 21st century learning furniture and technology tools. The Montessori allows students to learn at their own individual pace and according to their own choice of activities. Learning is an exciting process of discovery. At the JPS Montessori, children are grouped in mixed ages and abilities. Multi-age flexible grouping allows each child to find his/her own pace. This allows for constant interaction, problem solving, child to child teaching and socialization. The children are challenged according to their ability and are never bored.

Good Evening Montessori Families,
This is Mr. Jayne with your weekly update.
Spring MSTEP testing continues this week for students in grades 3, 4 and 5. Thank you for ensuring that your student is rested and ready to perform their best.
This Tuesday April 29th everyone is invited to our dine to donate event at Texas Roadhouse. It is important to bring in this flyer or a picture of it, with you so that 10% of sales go directly to our school. We hope to see everyone there!
We have a whole school field trip to see Matilda The Musical at Jackson High School on Thursday, May 1st. The cost is $2 for each student.
The annual Family Dance and Game Night is this Friday, May 2nd. Admission is $10 for a family up to 5 and $2 for each additional person.
The Montessori Rainbow Run will be on Wednesday, May 13 with a rain date on May 16th. Thank you for your support in sponsorship and shout out signs.
Our annual family picnic is scheduled for Thursday, May 22nd. Families are invited to have a BBQ lunch with their student. K-2 recess begins at 11:30 and lunch is from 11:50-12:10. Grades 3-5 recess is at 12:05 and lunch is at 12:25-12:45. The cost of an adult lunch is $5.
We are taking over Binder Park Zoo on Friday, May 23rd. The price is $10/student and $13/adult.
Our 4th and 5th graders will be going to Mackinac on May 28th. Please make sure all chaperone payments have been turned in by May 2nd.
